Glanaethwy & Da Capo, Rhapsodi

Since Glanaethwy’s success in the TV series Last Choir Standing the choir’s schedule has been full to overflowing. They’ve received a very warm reception in all corners of the land, and had the opportunity to sing in great venues with first rate artists and orchestras. They’ve also recorded a series of six programmes on TV for S4C, and most of the songs on this CD is a product of that series.

Da Capo was formed in the Spring of 2009 from amongst ex-students of Ysgol Glanaethwy, to take part in the Glanaethwy TV series for S4C. Working again with these talented young people was such a joyous experience that they decided to keep on singing and prepare for a re-launch in the autumn of 2010. This is a band of dedicated performers who are currently working on a live show which will introduce an exciting new element into the light entertainment scene in Wales.

Ffurfiwyd Da Capo nôl yng Ngwanwyn 2009, pan ddaeth nifer o gyn-aelodau o Gôr Glanaethwy at ei gilydd i berfformio yng nghyfres deledu Glanaethwy ar S4C. Roedd y profiad o weithio gyda’n gilydd unwaith eto yn brofiad mor arbennig fel bod yr aelodau wedi dal ati i ymarfer ac yn bwriadu lansio’r grwp ar ei newydd wedd yn ystod tymor yr hydref 2010. Dyma griw o berfformwyr ymroddgar sy’n edrych ymlaen rwan i ddatblygu sioe fyw, a chreu rhywbeth newydd i’r byd adloniant ysgafn yng Nghymru.
