Y Trwbz, Tyrd yn Ôl

The young group from North Wales are the second to release their début single as part of this New project being run by Welsh contemporary music magazine, Y Selar. .

“We’re really pleased to be able to release our début material as part of Y Selar’s Singles Club” said Y Trŵbz lead singer, Mared Williams.  “It’s been a really exciting year for us having won the C2 Radio Cymru Battle of the Bands competition and then getting the opportunity to perform on the Maes B stage on the last night of the Eisteddfod in Llanelli. Releasing our first single is a great way to finish off the year.”

“We had some great feedback to the track ‘I Estyn am y Gwn’ which was recorded as part of the Battle of the Bands process, and we’re keen to see what kind of reaction the single gets, as it’s a bit different.”

The idea of the Selar Singles Club is to release the debut single of promising acts, which will give them a platform to attract labels who will hopefully take them on to the next level with recording contracts.

Sengl gyntaf Y Trŵbz

Y grŵp ifanc o’r Gogledd ydy’r ail artist i ryddhau eu sengl cyntaf fel rhan o brosiect newydd y cylchgrawn cerddoriaeth Cymraeg cyfoes, Y Selar.

“Rydan ni’n falch iawn i allu rhyddhau ein cynnyrch cyntaf fel rhan o Glwb Sengau’r Selar” meddai prif leisydd Y Trŵbz, Mared Williams. “Mae wedi bod yn flwyddyn gofiadwy i ni rhwng ennill Brwydr y Bandiau C2 Radio Cymru a chael cyfle i chwarae ar lwyfan Maes B ar nos Sadwrn olaf y Steddfod. Mae rhyddhau ein sengl gyntaf yn ffordd berffaith i orffen y flwyddyn.”

“Fe gawsom ni ymateb gwych i’r gân a gafodd ei recordio ar gyfer Brwydr y Bandiau, ac rydan ni’n edrych ymlaen at weld sut ymateb geith hon sydd ychydig bach yn wahanol.”

Syniad Clwb Senglau’r Selar ydy rhyddhau cynnyrch cyntaf artistiaid addawol, yn y gobaith y bydd labeli’n cymryd sylw ac yn cynnig cytundeb recordio iddynt.
